I took a walk with my mom and grandma (who was visting from RI) this afternoon at Brookside Gardens in Maryland. I also took my camera (of course) and got some great pictures. Here is one of some adorable kids playing with plants:

Assignment: Ordinary to Extaordinary (Week 9; Post #3)

An ordinary picture of berries morphs into an extraordinary one! Vamping up some saturation and fixing the lighting levels gave this picture some umph! In addition, a diffuse glow filter was placed over the berries and the branches in the foreground were texturized.

Vanishing Point on K Street (Week 9; Post 2)

Today, I went to the Corcoran for an Adobe Photoshop lecture given by one of the brightest in the industry! I learned so many neat tricks that will totally enhance my Photoshop skills. Gotta love FotoWeek DC. I'm so glad I stayed in this city to go to school, even though it is close to home because this city is so rich, both culturally & aesthetically speaking. I snapped this shot of my grandma's dog, Ginger, this afternoon while she was resting on my gma's lap. Isn't she just adorable??? I love her, and she brings so much joy to my Grandma's life.

Metro at 6:30 pm. I thought this would make a cool picture--not exactly at rush hour, but not too far thereafter. I heavily edited the exit at the top using lighting effects.

This is a sad pillar, which rests at St. Aloysius Church in Washington, DC. I am not quite sure what made this pillar so sad. Perhaps it was listening to one too many dull homilies! ;)
